About CCG: CCG is a leading research centre working on information law, technology policy, and digital governance in India. The Centre engages with key areas such as privacy, artificial intelligence, and Internet governance, while promoting research-driven public discourse.

The work at CCG is designed to build capacity and enhance the quality of discourse on issues of privacy, equality, discrimination, and digital access in the digital age. Its research and policy outputs aim to contribute to informed public debate and effective, research-led policymaking. To this end, CCG is committed to developing innovative and high-quality methods for disseminating research across diverse stakeholder groups.

Role and Responsibilities: 

The Communications Internship offers an opportunity to work closely with CCG’s communications and strategy teams. Interns will build capacity in strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and technical skills such as design and audio-visual editing.

Interns will be expected to support communication, strategy and outreach efforts, including but not limited to:

  • Creating content for social media campaigns
  • Drafting press releases, blog posts, and other communication materials
  • Assisting with design work (graphics, presentations, etc.)
  • Supporting audio-visual content creation and editing
  • Contributing to communication strategies for research projects
  • Supporting with stakeholder mapping
  • Updating CCG’s Policy Tracker
  • Supporting with the design and implementation of events

Internship Details:

Duration: 6-8 weeks (extendable on the basis of quality and availability of work)

Mode: Full-time / Part-time (where "full-time" indicates your full availability to work (whether in person or virtually) during our office hours from 10AM to 6PM, from Monday to Friday]

Format: In-person (preferred) / Remote

Please note: While we are accepting applications for part-time internships, applicants willing to work full-time shall be given preference. Similarly, while we are accepting applications for virtual (online) internships, applicants willing to work from our office shall be given preference.

Eligibility: 

CCG welcomes applications from

  • Students enrolled in media studies, mass communication, journalism, design, advertising, marketing, or related disciplines
  • Students from public policy, law or social sciences with relevant communication or design skills
  • Prior experience with design tools or content creation will be preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheet/Microsoft Excel
